Hand Dance Class is dedicated to teaching, preserving, and promoting the African American art form of D.C. Hand Dancing

This class will provide students with individualized training in basic piano technique, musical notation, history, and culture. This course is designed to develop skills in a small group.

Learn the latest Street/Urban dance moves set to Hip Hop music. This class will teach the importance of progressive movement and stretching. Resulting in a energetic dance routine.

Hand Dancing is a varied form of swing dance that can be traced as far back as the 1920s, during the Lindy Hop era and the Jitterbug days. In true fashion, the District of Columbia developed their own "flavor" to the dance and made it our own. Come join us!!
